It’s that crazy wacky time again. Where we SPRING forward.

I like to view it as the sudden loss of much loved sleep, but hey, who am I to quibble with semantics at this point.  We all get to jump into daylight savings time as of 2am Sunday. But seriously, why do we still do this. We haven’t been a nation of farmers for a LONG time. though it does make summer interesting, as here in the beautiful PNW (pacific north west) in the high of summer the sun doesn’t go down until 10pm.

Now that my official good deed is done, on to the randomness!

ECCC was pretty awesome. SO many people there of such a variety of likes, sizes, tastes. it was nifty.
Saw a few pretty awesome people, the most awesome being Jo Chen. She is like uber awesome, and was so nice. To know she has created some of the most amazing Buffy Comic (season eight) images had my inner fangirl squeeeing. We got one poster signed and mary posed for a picture with her, which was cool as well.
Also, wil wheaton, shorter than one would think. But how cool was he just getting off the elevator and walking into the throng of it all? I totally thought about ambushing him, but this is me. An ambusher I am not.  Mary snapped a pic of Thomas Jane (Hung, Punisher… weird those two titles together). There were also like a million amazing artists there. So many, almost too many with the amount of people in attendance it was hard to really see everything.

That’s what tomorrow’s for! (and pics will be loaded then)

Now I am off to pass out, sleep, and lose an hour. Oh and I will pray that Theo doesn’t wake me up at 330AM again. Srsly.

And to not be overwhelmed by the awesomeness of this posts beautiful people.
I am somewhat annoyed that lesbians in media (TV, movies, books) either are insane, or die. Isn’t there a middle ground somewhere in all of this people? I mean, srsly. Do you think we are either demented sociopaths or deserve to die rather than have happiness? (yes I am still reading the 4th Sword of Truth book, The Temple of the Winds, and if you read it you KNOW) It just… is irritating. We are boring too. Live simple lives. It’s not all glamour, death and mayhem. We are not being punished for the way we live our lives in REALITY so why in FANTASY? Ugh. I’m am quasi guilty of killing of lesbians in my writing as well, but hey, when 90% of my characters are gay, it is going to happen. From time to time.

HAPPY FRIDAY!

this is so awesome, and I don’t even like Barbies. But hello, what? No ashtrays or martini glasses? C’mon now! And also, the Joan Barbie  should totally be curvier, that is what makes Joan so sexy; those womanly curves. *goes to stare at pictures of Joan* Isn’t the new season of Madmen starting again soon? I hope so, and by hope I mean NOW, and by Now I wonder if Joan will ditch her loser of a husband. I liked her better with Sterling. Not sure why, as it was adulterous and all that. I just… did. And hello, look at me pinning away for a HET couple. I think the world is slightly tilted because of this.

There have been some news headlines lately about how men retain their sex drives into their 70’s, while women lose theirs. Um, I call bullshit. Because any one who has half a brain knows that if there wasn’t this massive industry for MALE ENHANCEMENT (and take all the pills you want, it ain’t enhancing anything) men’s libidos would taper off about mid fifties to sixties. It’s simple biology. A man can no longer provide for his family (in the I’m a strong and verrall hunter way) and so his body begins to lessen in strength and potency. We are animals. And at that baser nature why would evolution want men to procreate when they cannot provide for the young? Hello? *tap tap* is this thing on?

I am not man bashing I am just saying, humans are animals right? Aside from our ipads, iphones, ipods and hybrid cars that don’t break *srsly Toyota!* we are animals. So why would we be the only animal that has such a long mating cycle? Could it be that men associate all of their power with their you know what, and they want to retain that power until the day they die? Actually, when I put it like that, it does make more sense. I don’t want MY power to fade away when I am sixty. Because that only leaves me >30 years left. Which totally not cool.

On to less weird topics (430am does odd things to my mind) writing is going okay. Not stellar, but okay. I think my RL is stressing my FL out. This is not very nice, or appreciated dear RL. So knock it off!

Speaking of RL; off to work I go.

I was rebellious last night and stayed up an hour later than normal! I know, right? I am living on the edge now for sure. Downside to staying up late (to write of course) was that when I did get to sleep, I passed out hard and didn’t move all night. So now I am sore. Stoopid getting older.
I don’t know if it is the changing weather, or that my Zune keeps playing 80’s music but I am in the mood for a weekend extravaganza of 80’s movies, cherry coke, redvines, and popcorn. Maybe in the coming weeks I’ll manage a day of vegetating in front of the TV. This weekend will be super busy with the ECCC. Which, I am already starting to mentally prepare for (crowds anyway)

Okay, I am seriously starting to feel my own mortality. Why do all these, what I would consider young, stars keep dying? WTF universe? What are you trying to tell us?

And why are there some days (weeks, months) when all you see on the news is the bad? Didn’t they used to temper the bad with some heartwarming stories of good? Because I think the human race could use some good news every now and again.

To do my part, I shall embedd amazing Cara-ness. This should make even the most harden hearts skip a beat. This is why I love Tabrett… and Cara!
