I know, I know, I have been remiss and haven’t blogged. And it wasn’t for a lack of life being lived, it has been more so that I am been busy with work and playing Vampire Wars in my spare time. (a nerd through and through) But seriously not much is happening outside of the regular day to day, and sometimes I don’t feel like boring you or myself with talking about it. And there has been a flurry of news about things happening this week, and 98% of it is not positive. Nay, it is down right chilling. Humanity is doing that thing where they turn on themselves and madness seems to ensue. And if you allow yourself to get caught up in it, then you too are a part of the problem.

The GOOD news, as so reported this morning… Referendum 71 in Washington State PASSED! SCORE! And totally AWESOME! Take that you naysayers. I am of the like mind that in 10 or 20 years people will look back and just not understand why society was so long in approving same rights for portions of its population. It is one of those LOGICAL things, that when some people say no over and over they forget that they have no reason behind the no, rather they are just saying no because they have been saying no for so long. To them I give the two finger salute. And a raspberry.

TV was sort of lacking this week, (sports should be on sports stations, and leave my shows ALONE!) But BONES was pretty awesome last night. there was so much flirting going on. I felt a little tingle of happiness. And of course Cam was Cam, and we know I love me some Cam.

Busy day today, and busy weekend. But that is okay. It all means something, and it is all moving me forward to that place I want to be.

I’ve noticed something odd as of late.  Lots of comments with links to Twilight vids and I just know they are embedded with those pesky viruses. So I will give a shout out to you folks. If you get an email with a link to this cool new fan vid for Twilight, DONT CLICK IT. And not just because Twilight is all sorts of lame and 10% of all the money that Stephanie Myer makes on all this goes to the Mormon church and all that… just, you know, practice ‘net safely out there.

Now then, that ad should remind you how awesome Eliza is, but more so, to get over and watch all the episodes of Dollhouse they have there! Go on. GO and do it right now!

Work and life is nice and busy right now, as it is my month end. So. You know. Month Ends are those sort of things that desk jockeys the world over cringe at. We know it is coming, we do as much prep work as we can, but is always that very narrow window of time where in things just have to be done, and then everyone who doesn’t have a month end wants things done too. So. Que that madness.

Did I mention you should go to Hulu and watch episodes of Dollhouse? And Castle? And anything else cool. Do it for me, because I am tethered to my other computer. *sniffle*

 Today is VOTING DAY! Woot. And while I could sit here and write about how you should get out and vote, I think most of you know you should get out and vote, and if you are in Washington you voted on your couch (because we are brilliantly progressive – not) here. And I hope that you voted your heart and not your populous. And I pray that Ref 71 passes. It is needed, required, and about damn time. Viva La Gay!

What’s For Dinner?

Monday night we had BBQ chicken wings and potato salad – homemade mind you! It was fabulous!

Tonight? My Super Veggie Lasagna. Now, there is a whole lotta meat in it too, just a lot of veggies too! The sauce is my homemade ragu, it’s been cooking for 4.5 hours. It will simmer for 6 total. And that is how you get AMAZING sauce. Lot’s of love!

Steven Colbert. Hilarity. Honesty. Funny as hell. And I crack up when I think that there are people out there who think he is the ‘real deal’. Seriously. How many brain cells do you need to be lacking to think this is anything but a comedy show? Wow. When I think about that and I think about the lack of smarts that the majority of the American public has it makes me shake in my stylish yet functional boots. Seriously.

Political Update: polls are showing that Ref 71 is being approved, but polls are just that, a stranger asking you what you will vote, and you don’t want to let your bigot flag fly with a stranger, so I am still waiting with baited breath. Because here in Washington we do mail in ballots. So in the privacy of your home you can be whatever you think you want to be. So if you haven’t voted yet, get to it, and mail that ballot out! Democracy only works when the people are involved in the process.  And…. APPROVE REF 71!

In news of the thank goodness – and yes I know I am late on this one – when I heard Morrissey had to be helped off stage or collapsed or what ever at a show in the UK last week I nearly chocked on my triple vanilla latte. No No NO! No harm must come to the MOZ. I adore him and all his ambiguity and long lasting lisping. He is the Bomb. And I am so glad to hear he is doing better. Maybe I can see him again soon. Performing that is. It is not like I have a direct line to him, and we sit and have tea and all that. because, well, on paper that would seem totally cool, in reality I feel like he would be a disapproving Uncle. Telling me how wrong it is that I have leather shoes, and eat meat (meat is murder) and how I am too obvious, and that I should be more unknown and not so happy all the time. See? It would just go badly. But! I ADORE his music, and I like watching him live. He isn’t high energy, but he is entertaining. So pull your self up by your boot straps MOZ, and get healthy and get out there and rock! (rock… oh dear)

All the news is a twitter (ugh, they took the joy out of that word) about a certaincompany moving its certain assembly line to a southern state. Er, doh. It is cause and affect. You treat a company like crap, make them loose money, they will do what they need to do to make more money. It’s just the way things work. And that is all I can really say. Because… well YOU know. LOL. Not that I have any insider information, because I don’t. I just know logic. That fickle mistress.

CASTLE’s Halloween episode was EPIC! It was funny, interesting, and damnit it was a fan girl’s happy day! Though I did not find the hidden Firefly Easter Egg that has been on the set (kudos to the fan who did) I was still in a state of utter bliss seeing Nathan in the Mal outfit. And the quippy comments between Castle and Alexis, his daughter. Awesome! I adore the relationship between father and daughter on Castle. He is the father every girl wishes she had. *sniffle* And just a hootenanny of pop culture references. From Buffy, to Underworld, to Dark Horse, just… awesome. I will be watching it again. And soon. And you should too!!

I am 85% done with the sacrifice web update. Yay! This makes me still happy, and a little freaked. Because I am running out of time. AH! I better move my day around and get at least an hour of time to do the work on it. Lots of typing code. Which is always so much fun. Well actually it is. I’ll hush now.

Do not attempt to adjust your set kiddies, yes I changed the blog layout. It is between this version and one other. So I may do half a week with this, and half a week with the other before I make my final decision. I am allowed to make changes like this. I am a woman (hear me roar). Images on the main site have been updated. Still in the same feel because I like the electric blue, and the simple blocking. It has a nice feel to it. Don’t you agree? (tell me now or I keep on keeping on). SACRIFICE will be updated in a week and I am so excited you don’t even know… or maybe you do. Depending on if you are one of the 12 people who check it out each week. You could be. If so; “Hey!”

Attention all Washingtonians! The days are slipping by faster than you realise! So make sure you get your ballot filled out to best represent you and your views and send that sucker in. Post Haste! I will only tell you to APPROVE REF 71, and the rest is up to you. Generally I wouldn’t even push that on you, as I try to be open to everyone else’s POV, but darn it, so many people out there are makingthis about something it isn’t and being hate mongers so I will rally back with the best of them and say loud and proud that we as a society need to approve this referendum and make the lives we ALL live more equal. So get out your vote, and then get it in the mail or drop it off at a ballot collection location. Remember, you are voting by mail, so get it done, and let’s be sure all our voices are heard!

I just finished voting. Done. Yay!

On the TV front, O.M.G. did you see DOLLHOUSE on Friday? It was an amazing episode and made me think and feel and wonder and appreciate. The gambit of emotions. I won’t spoil it for any of you who are going to finish reading this blog and then head over to Hulu to watch it (hint) but. Yes. Freaking Awesome of the whole slew of Awesome. The writing was amazing and the way the show is tackling some really fundamental morals and ideology is fresh and interesting and just Great TV!

I am still a little butt hurt about the whole not showing any episodes for the WHOLE MONTH of November (damn you FOX) but then I take a breathe and I think about how that is only like 4 weeks, ad I can live with that. Especially if we are going to be getting double the episodes. Which is one of my favorite things (watching two eps of a show back to back) So it is a little anticipation before a gift. Sort of like Christmas. So I can deal for a while. So long as FOX is good to their word. And hey, adding in a little advertising would be a good idea too. (ya think?)

In other news, I will be onsite at A tomorrow, all day, so there will probably not be a blog entry. I am just brain drained by the time I get home. I know I know. Here’s a tissue :wink:

I swear this blog has not jumped the shark – there has just been a whole bunch of things going on. This week has been hectic. Interestingly my life was twisted and twirled and my schedule was turned upside down. And if you know me then you know that messing with my schedule is a big deal. Not a bad thing, just a Topsy turvy thing. So I was away from the nice and cozy home base for most of the week, doing the massive deployment at the big A. A is what I will call the big ole customer that I spent my week at; just in case I am not supposed to talk about it. Who knows really. So what this all boils down to is that while I am back in my casa today, I have a week of work to catch up on for COMPANY X, my secondary OPS job, and a week of chorestoo. BUSY DAY.

So, this means for you… short blog! Cheer or Jeer. Up to you.

Check out this amazing picture from my phone. This was my view on Monday at one of A’s locations. One of my favorite locations in the city. Such an amazing view and a totally amazing building. I didn’t explore or anything, but from what I saw from the valet parking to the lobby and the elevators. Gorgeous institutional (as in mainstay) building in the city of Seattle. I was totally excited about Tuesday when we were going to be in the Columbia Center Tower, and I thought we would have an amazing view! But que the bummer sound. While I was on the 19th floor… we were in the dead center of the building. BAH! Thursday and Friday we were hanging out across the street from the stadiums. I just love Seattle. I can’t help it. It’s freaking gorgeous.

Next week I will be heading out on Monday, the rest of the week is unknown. But, it is sometimes nice to get out of the cave.

I have a whole lot of handfuls of things to talk about, but, again, I’m busy. Hello! So, short and sweet:

DOLLHOUSE. While I hear it is NOT canceled the month of November will be a hiatus month with all the other crap FOX wants to air. Whatever. So, tonight! Big show. Watch it. And then keep an eye out for all the grass level things we can do to get more air play and let people know about it.  Tonight’s episode should be a great one. I will be DVRing it. Watching it. And then Hulu too! Take that FOX!
