Last nights dream-scape was a weird-a-polosa. Seriously. From the rampant annoyance of the evil ex’s mother )who oddly looked nothing like the ex’s mother but instead looked like a used and old version of the ex – so appropo) to the ghostly appearance of my own parents with their nagging and their underwhelming sense of responsibility. Add in a dash of mayhem, violence and natural disasters it was a friggin Saturday night SciFi (SyFY) channel movie. I shit you not. It was just weird and I was happy when the alarm went off at 530, to save me from the maddness. I am not sure what it all means, though I could look into it, delve into the deeper meanings and blah blah blah. It was a weird ass dream. I’ll put a pin in it. Moving on.

Theo went ape shit again last night. Now I know he is a ‘toddler’ puppy and he is starting to feel his oats, and want to sew them and all that, but when he has a hissy fit he has a MAJOR meltdown. His ‘uncle’ Diego never did that, and I have to say it just again proves that Theo is his own dog and will be a handful. Lucky the little shit is so damn cute, and for the most part he is a really good puppy.  Glass half full and all that. He and I will head out soon for shopping excitement. Luckily he loves being in the truck. Another plus. Like sleeping through the night and knowing that potty goes outside.

Yes I know that last paragraph was chock full of nerdiness. Here’s more.

Watched some of Buffy Season Seven last night. And again at the end of every episode I find myself saying ‘that is the best TV show ever!’ I don’t say that about anything else I watch, and we all know I watch a lot of TV. Oh, Buffy, how I miss you. Probably why I am back on the horse and writing fanfic again (shhhh don’t tell) it is just… a verse that makes me happy, even when things are not happy.

In more TV news, BONESwas funny and sad last night (poor Hodgins.) and Cam was a hot tamale as per usual. I know, I am a pig. I’ve accepted this. But! I meant to post it here, that Dorothy Snarker posted anawesome find on her blog earlier this week. It’s a link to clip (NSFW) from Better off Ted. Which. Hilarious. Go there. see it, now!

And in the vein of the Whedonverse. Tonight is Dollhouse! Squeee! I am excited. Look at last week’s post to see pics from tonight’s episode. I was an early bird last time. It happens. And I won’t spoil youfrom how freaking amazing and perfect last week was… yet. But. Oh my oh my. So tonight. Excitement, adventure, and I think some more information as to what is happening. As much as we can get in an hour, before you know…. the very last episode. *sniffle* It’s hard to believe it is almost over…. I hate this feeling. When something good goes away.

So Theo is pretty much flunking out of puppy school. And really, how embarrassing that you are sort of judged on a weekly basis on how well your puppy obeys you. We all know this is more equal to the amount ofchicken you have in your pocket, versus how much attention and time you spend on the actual training through the week. And, I will admit, it doesn’t help that he is as stubborn as a …. well just damn stubborn. It makes my ears go red sometimes at how stubborn he is. And he does seem to be getting some of the training. It’s the rest that there are times when he could give a flying crap about, and that of course generally happens at puppy school. You know, the place where you can’t use the big scary human voice to get his attention… because other puppies would pee, and owners would look at you funny. Come on! This dog is a chow, and therefore stubborn and needs to know the rules of the road in a stern way. he is getting better. being grounded and all he had to get better. Or no fun time charlie and all that.

Work. Meh, moving on. Another topic.

I am uber excited to sit down in a couple hours and watch the episodes of Better off Ted that are DVR’d from yesterday. TWO episodes! Awesomeness. If you aren’t watching this show, shame on you!!! It is, without a doubt, and with unbiased enthusiasm (I almost said glee, and that show just bugs me, i don’t care that my Master Joss directed an episode, I am not watching it!!!) the funniest comedy on television right now. Seriously. No other situation (what?) comedy makes me laugh when I watch it; no not even ‘How I met your Mother’, not as often and as hard as I laugh when watching ‘Better off Ted’. And I love Aly and I love Neil, but I only laugh like once when I watch HIMyM. So it is meh. But!!! BoT? AWESOMENESS! You need to check this if you haven’t been. Like now. *shooo’s you*

I haven’t written in like 3 days and the voices and migraines are stalking me. I think they are going to get me…..

What’s For Dinner?

I have no clue. We have a new agreement here at the Casa. Mare is making dinners for the unforeseeable future, as a way to help me out as I am working all day and you know, Puppy-ing. (see above) BUT! Mwah! I was stressed this afternoon, so I whipped up a loaf of roasted garlic and rosemary Italian bread. Yeah. You read that right. I did. Ha!

I hope you all had a fabulous Turkey Day, and lots of eating and celebrating was had. I ate like a queen, and watched a boatload of movies. And cried. ALOT. Damn movies! lol

Land of the Lost: Meh. It was okay. I should have waited for it to be free on HBO or something

Gran Torino: Actually pretty good. Albeit a downer.

Home at the End of the World: Good. But a downer. Sad sad sad.

Four Christmases: Not worth it. Reese looked gaunt. WTF?

Definitely, Maybe: I LOVE LOVE LOVE this movie.

Indian Jones: The Crystal Skull: Excitement every time. Though, I think I fell asleep due to the late hour, not the slow pace. *wink*

We all know Portia de Rossi is hot. And smart, and like our super female roll model. Sort of like our fairy godmother. Along with Ellen. But she is also funny as well. As we see in installments of Better Off Ted.
Season one will be available until 12/9/2009. So get over to Hulu and check it out. Better off Ted is hilarious!

 
Super Congrats go out to Joss Whedon(joss is my master) for his win of the Vanguard Award. He deserves it. as he deserves a blank check and open book when it comes to media. Give this man the room to thrive, we will all be better for it.

Urgh, MOZ was in town yesterday, and I missed it. Not that I could have gone had I been financially prepared or gotten tickets, as well, things are different now. But sniffle. I love seeing Morrissey. It’s like this strange combination of nostalgia and insanity and soul speaking all wrapped into one evening. Maybe next time.

This blog has been oh so serious lately. So with that in mind, let’s mix it up – Girl Style!

Literary Girls! I have this book sitting on my shelf, because I opted to read the ‘Zombie Survival Guide’ and ‘World War Z’ first. With those two down, I shall continue my zombie summer of ‘09 with the Jane Austen trip down the life fantastic. There are some out there who don’t get the thrill of Zombies. I am not one of those people. I adore my zombies. In games and in books. (movies some times, I am a weenie) So once I finish the Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, I am planning on having a day of Resident Evil Game play. Woot!

Movie Girls! I saw ‘Julie & Julia’ last weekend. And it was cute, and a good foodie movie. Not the best film I’ve seen, but it was still good. (liked Sunshine Cleaning better – for an Amy Adams theme) I also was bored on Sunday and watched ‘Sex & The City’ movie… and I should say that I never watched the show, but the movie filled me in. And it is certainly straight lady comedy. I got a lot of the humor, (mexi-coma) and the gratuitous man shots I just ignored. It’s sort of sad that Dyke movies are so LAME, so we are left with subtext, or just throwing our hands up and watching ‘main stream’ rom com. Which, has it’s place in the world. For sure.

TV Girls! Hellllooooo Police Women of Broward County. How you doin? Makes me lament not finishing cop school. But hey. Things happen for a reason. And I will check out this show, from time to time, when nothing else is on. Because two of the ladies are damn fine! You know I said it! I watched the season finale of ‘Better of Ted’ last night, and was it just me? When Veronica was talking about loving Mordor, and doing the show, I kept scanning the crowd, looking for Ellen. I think it was just me. Trying to bridge the gap between reality and unreality. Still a funny as heck show. You should check it out!

Music Girls! So I am digging ‘Gossip‘, and excited about going to Bumbershoot this year to check out the ‘Yeah, Yeah, Yeahs’. It should be a blast! In the interim I will be heading out to the High Dive tomorrow night to see Bee Simonds perform (6pm – 8pm) and if you are in the area so should you! It will be an awesome show I have been told. And come on, you know I will be at a Bee show, it’s a for gone conclusion.

Crafty Girls!  Will be me & Mare starting tomorrow. Project Complete Painting the Condo will commence and go on for 4 days. Yay! Yay for painting, Yay for getting it done, and Yay for a four day weekend!!!

And did any one else watch the season finale of Grey’s Anatomy? (part of me loves this show, part of me hates this show) I have to say, Arizona’s explanation of ‘Awesome’ got me. I love a patriotic lesbian! I always wondered if there were any other out there besides me…. and yes I am still wondering because I do know that TV isn’t real. (er… sort of). And the end!!!! O.M.G. the end was… good. that is all.

Now I will frolic in happiness knowing that there will be season two for my TWO FAVORITE shows! Come on fall line up!
