chatter Would you say those words were mine

Not a laughing matter, but I chuckled at the title.  I mean seriously! I could have whipped out an amazing ‘photo’ using the fabulous PSE7 in about 60 minutes. No cost of gas, or pilots, or giving the people of NYC heart attacks. Think about technology and use it some times too! (and not just to twitter about Bo’s first week)

Anyway!

Havisham is alive and well, and showed back up yesterday afternoon! This makes me so happy! He is adorable. Part of me wants to get a cage and keep him forever. But then again, he needs to be free!!

There are a plethora of TV shows that you all should be watching. Perhaps I will blog about that later this week. But for now, I have to gush that I love Castle! I think this is partly because I adore Nathan Fillion, and second to the fact that the show is actually well written and acted (meh on Beckett tho) I always watch it a day late (DVRS are AWESOME) and love it all the more for the quirkiness of the characters, and the bond of Castle and his daughter (and have you noticed a lot of single dad’s on TV as of late… interesting…)

Castle is rad, watch it.

I finished up reading Olympos By Dan Simmons last night. Sure it was a ‘tied with a bow’ ending, but it was a good ending nonetheless. The journey of those two books was an amazing one, and wow to all the detail and information I injested, as well as I am sure I will discover I injested given more time. I recommend it, if you like good long books thick with information and a very Literature class slant.

chatter is that any way to say hello

In the category of bad habits, I have a few. This is well known and documented. It is one of those things that IS. Accept and move on.

So. One of these habits is that I occasionally will have a thought / epiphany while in the middle of something (like work) and can’t get to the awesome hp to write it down. So I jot it down on a piece of paper / post it / what have you. Some of these things are pretty long, and my hand writing is well… I should have been a doctor. So today I am in a meeting for work, and digging through contracts to find something and five papers tumbler to the table top. Notes. Ugh! Barely understandable notes!
I know what I am doing tomorrow. (typing them up)
I need to be better organised.
Word.

On a flip side; I am in a quandary. What the hell to call my blog. Seems like all the witty, snappy, ah-ha titles have been taken. Some by cool blogs, some by lame-O’s (there arevarying levels of lameness). Ugh. So I am stuck. It can’t be called just ‘blog’ that seems sort of… well, anti-climatic really. Fiddle-dee-dee. Any suggestions? Seriously. I will consider any suggestion.

And now, now it is time to getback to reading and down shifting for the night. With luck and my snappy little blue pills I will get some much needed sleep. And I have to say, I have NO clue where the book I am reading is going. I was thrown for a loop a few days ago when out of the blue there was a sex scene! I was SO not expecting that. It felt, almost wrong (I get why it was written, still que the icky) and now! Well I can’t tell you the now. It would ruin the story. Because I do highly recommend reading Ilium and Olympos by Dan Simmons. I do.

chatter you never miss a thing; but you missed me

The writings of Dan Simmons amaze me. I am totally enamored of his writing. It’s ‘entertaining’ writing (gods forbid) and eductional at the same time. (shudder gasp!) I honestly feel like I am having a good time reading, as well as learning something as well. Talk about a rich mosaic of reality and unreality. PLUS! he seems to write nice long Novels, and have one or two nice long ones after that. I prefer a nice long novel (600+ pages please) and this bullshit I keep seeing about how readers don’t like long novels is hoo-ey. Who are they polling? Half literate skull scratchers?

But I digress. As I should. Why waste time berating rediculous polls when I can spend that time reading! (and I got a new cache of books from 1/2 price so yay!)

I heard something interesting on the radio today (yes while listening to conservitive radio – hush!) and I was interested to find out more about. Simply because I hadn’t heard a thing regarding this ‘incident’ on any news programs / blogs / MSM outlets. Which, is weird. I would think they would be talking about it, because it is… sort of hilarious. I feel the need to point out here, before I begin that yes I voted for our President, (why do I have to quantify it, is it in fact because as of late the moment you say anything resembling a negative comment you are labeled with a hater like label. girl, I gots enough labels on me, I don’t need that one too!)
Hopefully this link will still work in a day or two (don’t even get me started on missing news feeds lately on the interweb) Seriously, I know that the US is in a bad way when it comes to finances. But surely we could have found something in one of the closet of the West Wing, all dusty and now considered an antiquity to give as a gift. (for those not following the link: G. Brown the PM of England came to the House for a visit. Brought some really old neat gifts for the First Family and in return was given some DVDs – R1, US version DVDs- and some kitch from the gift shop.) I think honesty should have been the best policy; Mr. President should have been ‘the old country still sucks’ or something, versus letting his (or his assistant’s) feelings known for the PM. (and note, there is no love lost with me and the brits – FREE IRELAND! – ahem.) Really, this is worth mentioning because when I heard it I thought it was a total joke. And it actually happened. Why didn’t I see this on TV? Like on E! news or something.

Thoughts?
