GODDAMNIT JESSE! WTF were you thinking? Totally awesome, smart, talented wife on one hand. Skanky ho bag on the other. Seriously dude, what the hell? I totally loved you (in a platonic not romantic because I am totally gay, and you’re a dude way) because of your badassery, your style, your honesty, and your work ethic. And then you had to go and just prove you are a doche. Srsly man. It is illogical. I am hoping that all this Internet buzz is a bunch of hooey. Like it is sometimes. Because I totally thought you were better than this. Not that I  know you personally. But I know people who know you, and I trusted what they told me about your ethical honesty. Bah. I’m sad, and mad. Bummer sauce.

In other news, I just have to post another picture of Kate Winslet. Because she is awesome, she is not like the aforementioned butt-head up there, is totally hot, totally talented, and so needs to have dinner with me. I am 110% serious. Well… see I had this dream where we had dinner together and it was an utterly rad experience. (but my dream stayed in the land of the PG -for language- ratings… so, it was as rad as it could be) What? I am an old fashioned girl at heart people. It’s not like I am some raving sexual maniac who prays on women. (you would only think that is true if you had been talking to some of my more neurotic ex’s – and if you have been talking to them, wtf?) So my having a PG dream is apropos. Such an amanda thing to do. And yes I picked up the check. See, even while growing my hair out I have the old skool butchness thing going on… and I think just by the insanity of this post… the reasons for my singleness are all to apparent.

Woot. It is Friday. There are so many levels of why that is awesome. But I won’t bore you with the why only the is!

I’ve discovered some new TV-ness. Let’s go crazy with it shall we?

First off, Parenthood. I was waiting to see this because it has Loreli Gilmore Lauren Graham in it. And I love her oh so much for her rapid fire speaking, her expressive eyes and her believability. All were there, present and accounted for in the season premier of Parenthood. Though she is not as squeeky clean as she was on Gilmore Girls, I find myself liking this character. And holy hell here are a lot of awesome people on this show! srsly. I was shocked to see Marguerite Moreau on the show; but pleased as I totally crush on her. Though, wtf with her character being a guest star. *tear* I nearly cried at many points watching the premier, which is a good tell that the show will be good. I hope it continues to be good. It needs to be good. So far my only complaint? Why In the Hell do we keep having to remake things‘ tv shows, songs, movies, books…. can’t we come up with something new? Then again, look what happened with BSG. It was 1000x better than the original. *shrug* I will be watching!

Archer. Have you been watching this show? I have. It is so rude, crude and unbelievably awesome. Perhaps I shouldn’t like it, but hell I can’t keep up with what I should and shouldn’t like (as directed by the Lesbianic Overlords of PC-dom) I like it. Period. It may be ending it’s short season, but you can find it online. Check it out!

Last night I was like What the? Who the? OMG. Why? Because I was watching the awesomeness that is Mercy. I am so into this show. Which, I didn’t think I would be but I totally am. Michelle is actually awesome on this show. And you all know how I feel about Dawn Michelle worlds most annoying buffy character.  So I was watching this week’s episode (and hello can I go over here and squee about how rad it was to see the Italians and the Irish throw down in the ER? Because that so explains my own personal internal struggle. With those two halves of myself always warring with one another. ) (oh! and can I move to NJ? I want to be able to go to the neighborhood St Pat’s day block party. It looked like the most fun any one should and could have. Please? Can I go?) and it was so good. With the comedy, the oh no that is sad, and then the drama that is Veronica dealing with her PTSD and how it has now just totally escalated into something dark and mind altering because of that thing that happened a couple of weeks back, and then bam. I was like, wait, what? Is that? No. Really? Can that be? And it was! Mary Stuart Masterson sitting there with Ronnie. She looks so good. Too good (okay okay, no such thing) But Yay! For her joining the cast. I am looking forward to this addition.

Then we checked out the season premier of Justified. Thus far it looks like it is going to be a good show. I am really into FX and the shows they have been producing. (damages, sons of anarchy, archer, etc) So we shall see how things go in next week’s installment. Have to say, the star thus far in the show is Kentucky. Are they really in Kentucky? Because it is beautiful!

And now I need to get back to RL, and start to open a can of whoopass on some folks.

It’s St. Partick’s day; the day where most Americans suddenly become Irish, and there is bad Irish drawls being spoken in pubs, blasphemous green beer, parades, and people laughing and having a good ole time, forgetting all the bigotry of the past events. Where it is still okay to use phrases that once were scathingly cruel, and yet we still refer to them. See, I could make this a pissy angry St. Patrick’s Day, or I could let go of the ire and just embrace today as a day of ethnic pride and celebration. I am opting for door #2! So Happy Day to one and all!

Okay people, all the hype over Kristin Stewart I don’t get, but hey, you know what? I don’t HAVE to get it. This upcoming movie, The Runaways, I am probably going to rent when it is out on DVD, because it looks cool, just not cool enough to rearrange my life and see in the theaters (see entries on dog, movie cost, etc for details) But see, the things is, I am gonna feel weird about the Dakota Fanning (who is part Irish! See, how I connected things there?!?!) Kristin Stewart kiss. I just know it. Because hell, Dakota is 15 YEARS OLD! I know 15 year olds kiss and do other stuff, but I don’t want to see it. I heart little Dakota. I do! But… the kissing? *shudders* I mean shoot, I even refuse to write buffy fanfiction set in seasons 1 ,2 ,or 3 in Buffy because everyone is UNDER THE AGE of 18. Maybe I am too old fashioned? *shrug*

I sort of want to be the other person in this bathtub. This is good wholesome adult entertainment… wait! wasn’t the guy in this movie under age? Oh crap.

When you ask if I am making a St. Patrick’s day dinner because I am buying corned beef, cabbage and potatoes and I reply in the affirmative… you should not then tell me that I am not really making a traditional Irish dinner, because you suddenly know so much about the Irish people? Srsly. Corned Beef and cabbage is an IRISH AMERICAN tradition. I should know, I, unlike you, am half Irish and have been doing this for 33 years. Okthnxbye.

Thank you New York Magazine for giving my heart a jump start this morning. Okay, maybe not my heart, but my creative side? Okay okay! Full disclosure, that picture of Christina Hendricks is FRAKING HOT and it makes me appreciate women again. This is what they are supposed to look like. Please ladies, voluptuousness is sexy. Seriously. *insert my serious face*

Weekend was good. Chill for sure. And Theo is doing really good since his surgery on Friday. I know it was just him getting neutered (sorry dudes) but I was worried. I admit it. There is always the possibility of dogs not making it through having anesthesia, and CHOWS are extra sensitive. Like, one of Theo’s parents previous litter died when he went under the anesthesia. So you can see why I was a lot nervous, and why I didn’t want to talk about it (just in case) until it was all said and done. Fascinatingly Theo is all sorts raring to go, and doesn’t seem to be slowing down or in any pain. It has been interesting to keep him calm, and not running around. This week is going to be a bitch, because he isn’t supposed to go on long walks yet, and I used those walks to tire him out… Meep. Maybe we will have to do mini walks. Something. This is a 30 lbs toddler with energy to spare. Except right now, as he is passed the hell out. LOL.

Okay, did you all see LoTs yesterday? It was awesome. Two Kahlans! Yay. Sword of Lies has some funny picspams up already. Though I just know someone is going to go to town with this image of Cara’s Aigel right in Kahlan’s face. Even I was like… whoa. On her knees, Agiel in face… this is SO naughty. *gulp* Oh, and for next week. WTF? Why oh Why is my poor Cara going to come back evil. Did I or did I not tell you about my dream? You cannot make my Cara evil. *tear* It’s just… not right. Well, she IS sort of evil, but twinged with sarcasm and a good heart under all that leather. *I love bad girls*

Yes, I know, This is a image heavy post. Not that there isn’t a billion things to talk about. But rather, I just have to put my foot down. (and yes I know it won’t matter all that much, but still I am putting it down!)

So as I was skimming Felicia Day’s Twitter (I am still against Twitter, and friends don’t let friends twitter!!!! BUT, I do enjoy looking at the celebrities tweets.) And I read that there is talk about the next Batman, and who they have slated to play Selina Kyle, aka The Catwoman… Megan Fox… OMG! ARE THEY SERIOUS? A card board cut out who is bland and who is not attractive at all. I am serious when I say that this woman person looks like a tranny who went a little to crazy with the silicone injection in her lips. You know I am right on this! The picture of the NOT Hot Megan Fox is the only decent one I could find. Because I don’t want an ugly tranny on my blog. ((and point of fact, before you get all annoying and angry at my use of the word ‘tranny’ I know many a tranny, and thus I am given the magic card to use that moniker as I see fit. Just like I can say fag, dyke, dingo, mic. Okay? So get over it.)) This girl should be no where near the set of Batman. They finally got a good franchise going, with amazing actors who are bringing the comics to life… and then they muck it up by saying that Megan Fox will be Catwoman? Maybe Poison Ivy… but CATWOMAN!!!

I say, you want someone attractive, HOT, and a talented actress to be Selina Kyle? Why not:

Charlize Theron? Looks great with blond hair or dark hair. And we KNOW she can act!!

Zooey Deschanel, fits the physical ideology of Catwoman, and image that, she can act!

Summer Glau. I know right? Did you see that one coming? Probably not. But isn’t it a good fit? Think about it. Complex and kick ass. Think about it!

Emily Deschanel, while I think she is a little flat, but she TOTALLY fits the bill. Did you SEE her in the Halloween episode of Bones where she was WonderWoman? …. ooooo WonderWoman.

I am staying on point. I get that physically a female with Dark Hair and Light Eyes is Selina Kyle. But more so it is (I admit) physical attributes that I am most attracted to. But that does not mean that I want a rich and diverse character such as Selina Kyle to be played by someone who does nothing but wears hot pants, bends over, runs without a bra on and makes that stupid face. That ‘duh I’m a girl, I don’t know how to do anything’  I call BULLSHIT on this casting choice.

I will be seeing the next Batman movie though… It is BATMAN after all. And If I watched Batman & Robin, I can watch anything. Doesn’t mean I am going to like it.

This blog has been oh so serious lately. So with that in mind, let’s mix it up – Girl Style!

Literary Girls! I have this book sitting on my shelf, because I opted to read the ‘Zombie Survival Guide’ and ‘World War Z’ first. With those two down, I shall continue my zombie summer of ‘09 with the Jane Austen trip down the life fantastic. There are some out there who don’t get the thrill of Zombies. I am not one of those people. I adore my zombies. In games and in books. (movies some times, I am a weenie) So once I finish the Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, I am planning on having a day of Resident Evil Game play. Woot!

Movie Girls! I saw ‘Julie & Julia’ last weekend. And it was cute, and a good foodie movie. Not the best film I’ve seen, but it was still good. (liked Sunshine Cleaning better – for an Amy Adams theme) I also was bored on Sunday and watched ‘Sex & The City’ movie… and I should say that I never watched the show, but the movie filled me in. And it is certainly straight lady comedy. I got a lot of the humor, (mexi-coma) and the gratuitous man shots I just ignored. It’s sort of sad that Dyke movies are so LAME, so we are left with subtext, or just throwing our hands up and watching ‘main stream’ rom com. Which, has it’s place in the world. For sure.

TV Girls! Hellllooooo Police Women of Broward County. How you doin? Makes me lament not finishing cop school. But hey. Things happen for a reason. And I will check out this show, from time to time, when nothing else is on. Because two of the ladies are damn fine! You know I said it! I watched the season finale of ‘Better of Ted’ last night, and was it just me? When Veronica was talking about loving Mordor, and doing the show, I kept scanning the crowd, looking for Ellen. I think it was just me. Trying to bridge the gap between reality and unreality. Still a funny as heck show. You should check it out!

Music Girls! So I am digging ‘Gossip‘, and excited about going to Bumbershoot this year to check out the ‘Yeah, Yeah, Yeahs’. It should be a blast! In the interim I will be heading out to the High Dive tomorrow night to see Bee Simonds perform (6pm – 8pm) and if you are in the area so should you! It will be an awesome show I have been told. And come on, you know I will be at a Bee show, it’s a for gone conclusion.

Crafty Girls!  Will be me & Mare starting tomorrow. Project Complete Painting the Condo will commence and go on for 4 days. Yay! Yay for painting, Yay for getting it done, and Yay for a four day weekend!!!
