Okay first, she was a fan of the books (Sword of Truth Series) before she saw a script of the TV show.
She is a stage actress, so she is poised
Clearly she understands the character she is playing (BAMC!)
She is genuine and honest
She gives amazing interviews
She loves her fans, even the silly ones
She has a sense of humor
Um, have you SEEN this woman. She is gorgeous, with her natural hair color or not.
She can fight with knives, and swords

She needs to be on the stage, screen (small and large) for a VERY long time

And to not be overwhelmed by the awesomeness of this posts beautiful people.
I am somewhat annoyed that lesbians in media (TV, movies, books) either are insane, or die. Isn’t there a middle ground somewhere in all of this people? I mean, srsly. Do you think we are either demented sociopaths or deserve to die rather than have happiness? (yes I am still reading the 4th Sword of Truth book, The Temple of the Winds, and if you read it you KNOW) It just… is irritating. We are boring too. Live simple lives. It’s not all glamour, death and mayhem. We are not being punished for the way we live our lives in REALITY so why in FANTASY? Ugh. I’m am quasi guilty of killing of lesbians in my writing as well, but hey, when 90% of my characters are gay, it is going to happen. From time to time.

HAPPY FRIDAY!

I was rebellious last night and stayed up an hour later than normal! I know, right? I am living on the edge now for sure. Downside to staying up late (to write of course) was that when I did get to sleep, I passed out hard and didn’t move all night. So now I am sore. Stoopid getting older.
I don’t know if it is the changing weather, or that my Zune keeps playing 80’s music but I am in the mood for a weekend extravaganza of 80’s movies, cherry coke, redvines, and popcorn. Maybe in the coming weeks I’ll manage a day of vegetating in front of the TV. This weekend will be super busy with the ECCC. Which, I am already starting to mentally prepare for (crowds anyway)

Okay, I am seriously starting to feel my own mortality. Why do all these, what I would consider young, stars keep dying? WTF universe? What are you trying to tell us?

And why are there some days (weeks, months) when all you see on the news is the bad? Didn’t they used to temper the bad with some heartwarming stories of good? Because I think the human race could use some good news every now and again.

To do my part, I shall embedd amazing Cara-ness. This should make even the most harden hearts skip a beat. This is why I love Tabrett… and Cara!

I’ve been feeling especially schizophrenic lately. Too many hobbies and weird ass time constraints, has me being oh so neurotic. I have about 5 personal projects I am working on.. but see the thing is, which one is more important? You know? I want to do them all, but there is only so much time in any given day, so I need to focus on one at a time. Okay! I know this is me, so I need to focus on two at a time. *wink* Part of my brain is like, ’screw it’ and just not bother with some of the projects, so I can focus more on those that make me happiest. *insert sigh* so I am not sure what I should be doing… thinking is hard.

The Oscars are this Sunday! Woot! I love me the Oscars, though I feel out of the loop this year, with there being 10 movies nominated for best picture. I mean WHAT? 10!

I may try to catch up on some of these movies tomorrow, but that’s not a for sure thing yet.
What is for sure is that we have Puppy Class Sunday night, so I am not sure how I am going to do the whole watching thing. Maybe set the DVR to record, and then come home and watch… not sure. I know I will get all spoiled by the Internet if I wait to watch it on Monday… so. Harrumph.

I am pretty annoyed right now with TV. For a handful of reasons. Let’s start with Damages Season three. I set my DVR to tape all the episodes… and now, apparently, episodes 1, 2 & 3 are missing! WTF!???!?!?! This has me exceptionally pissed. I am not sure how to rectify the situation, but I am not yet giving up hope. You would think the 3 missing episodes would be online somewhere, but I have yet to find them. Which LAME! Another annoyance is the rumor going around that Legend of the Seeker  may not be renewed. A double dose of WTF!?!?!  This is wrong. So very evilly wrong. I love this show. It has the potential to be on TV for years.  If you haven’t yet, go HERE to get info on where to email, mail, and pester to attempt to keep this awesome show on the air. Pretty please? Or rather, do it or The Mother Confessor will come for you.

I stumbled onto this artcile in the New York Times, and it’s fascinating. How we have become this society of people who stare at machines to interact with other humans, but our interactions are on a completely different level. Via emoticons and words, at time random pictures. Does that signal a negative way to interact, or is it just our evolution? And because the world is technologically changing so quickly we will, an organism, be able to keep up? And is it all part of the Cylon plan?
Don’t know why the article went into the whole political Health care Tea Party route. (well yeah I do, everything seems to end up going that way lately, which lame!) It would have been more informative to stay on point. The isolation and anxiety plaguing humans is at an all time high, and we are ingesting more pharmaceuticals than even in the 1950’s (shocking!) to overcome things that may in fact be rectified if we were to step outside of the cyber reality. But from what I have seen recently I don’t know if that is possible. More and more people are developing anxiety disorders – and hey! I am right there with them- as they go through their days interacting with people only through the digital medium. Which, not picking on. Where else can shy people such as I interact with other people who are living across the globe, and or feel like there is a kinship with people you will never meet?
Plus the internet is vital to keep fangirls like me alive and kicking. It is just interesting to think about how far it will go. Perhaps I need to be reading some more cyberpunk soon! lol.

I kinda sorta killed the garlic press on Tuesday night. It wasn’t on purpose! I swear. It was more a combination of a pesky big clove of garlic and my surreal hand strength. Oops. So, what was supposed the be like metal? Snapped. I think my slayer powers kicked in or something. Anyway. Now I need to buy a new one. As garlic is an everyday staple of my culinary existence. *blink*

I didn’t write… not one word in any fandom yesterday. I feel… weird about that. Some good some bad. Weird is a adequite description.

Okay this picture has nothing to do with anything going on, other than I made it all green yesterday while I was waiting for report after report to download… *blink* it is pretty. Kahlan is such a BAMC!

Speaking of the BAMC… I am getting a little worried that there won’t be a season three. I have sent annoying emails out to local stations as well as big wiggies, but I am just a tiny little voice. I hope they look at the numbers and realise that this show IS watched by MILLIONS across the globe, and is a huge rating magnet for all these little affiliates. Just look at the long run Xena had. Srsly. Please. Keep up the Seekerness. I don’t even want to think about there NOT being a Legend of the Seeker… I WILL NOT! It will go on and on forever…. amen.

Speaking of amen: I got this piece of spam today: ‘I do think this is a most incredible website for proclaiming great wonders of Our God!‘ I don’t know why but spam like that on MY blog, which is about TV, lame taxes, femslash and lots of lesbianism… totally makes me chuckle.

So I managed to kill (aka lock up for a long time) not one but BOTH of my computers yesterday. I so hope today is better. Oh. And I think I killed all my virtual fish on facebook. Oh jeez. Is it Friday yet?

Last night we watched the badd-assery that was the ‘Princess‘ episode of Legend of the Seeker. It was so many levels of awesome I can’t even describe it.

me: “OMG did you see that face Cara just made?”
sis: “Wait, you said this was a new episode?”
me: “Yes.”
sis: “But I’ve seen this. Her getting captured.”
I paused the episode.
me: “It’s new.”
sis: “I know I have seen this before.”
me: “Nope. She just, gets captured a lot.”
sis: “Really?”
me: “Totally. It happens in the books too. But wait! I bet she will do something bad ass.”
I hit play again, and Kahlan does do something bad ass.
me: “See! Ha! Kicks their asses even when handcuffed!”
sis: “OMG. you are so gay.” – okay she didn’t say that, but I know she was thinking it!

and hello world of suckage, where we won’t get a new Legend of the Seeker episode for like… ever… (okay a month, but it will feel like FOREVER!)

Is it just me or is America really doing to hell in a handbasket? I am just getting that weird feeling….

In better news, than you know looking like an angora sweater with all this fur stuck to me, it’s Tuesday! Which always makes me smile, and gives me some heart palpitations as I work diligently to do updates. But shew, done. Yay!

Okay, I could prattle on for hours, but I need to get to work. It’s good to be productive and all that. Apparently all the cool kids are doing it.
