I hope you all had a fabulous Turkey Day, and lots of eating and celebrating was had. I ate like a queen, and watched a boatload of movies. And cried. ALOT. Damn movies! lol

Indian Jones: The Crystal Skull: Excitement every time. Though, I think I fell asleep due to the late hour, not the slow pace. *wink*

We all know Portia de Rossi is hot. And smart, and like our super female roll model. Sort of like our fairy godmother. Along with Ellen. But she is also funny as well. As we see in installments of Better Off Ted.
Season one will be available until 12/9/2009. So get over to Hulu and check it out. Better off Ted is hilarious!

 
Super Congrats go out to Joss Whedon(joss is my master) for his win of the Vanguard Award. He deserves it. as he deserves a blank check and open book when it comes to media. Give this man the room to thrive, we will all be better for it.

Urgh, MOZ was in town yesterday, and I missed it. Not that I could have gone had I been financially prepared or gotten tickets, as well, things are different now. But sniffle. I love seeing Morrissey. It’s like this strange combination of nostalgia and insanity and soul speaking all wrapped into one evening. Maybe next time.

Steven Colbert. Hilarity. Honesty. Funny as hell. And I crack up when I think that there are people out there who think he is the ‘real deal’. Seriously. How many brain cells do you need to be lacking to think this is anything but a comedy show? Wow. When I think about that and I think about the lack of smarts that the majority of the American public has it makes me shake in my stylish yet functional boots. Seriously.

Political Update: polls are showing that Ref 71 is being approved, but polls are just that, a stranger asking you what you will vote, and you don’t want to let your bigot flag fly with a stranger, so I am still waiting with baited breath. Because here in Washington we do mail in ballots. So in the privacy of your home you can be whatever you think you want to be. So if you haven’t voted yet, get to it, and mail that ballot out! Democracy only works when the people are involved in the process.  And…. APPROVE REF 71!

In news of the thank goodness – and yes I know I am late on this one – when I heard Morrissey had to be helped off stage or collapsed or what ever at a show in the UK last week I nearly chocked on my triple vanilla latte. No No NO! No harm must come to the MOZ. I adore him and all his ambiguity and long lasting lisping. He is the Bomb. And I am so glad to hear he is doing better. Maybe I can see him again soon. Performing that is. It is not like I have a direct line to him, and we sit and have tea and all that. because, well, on paper that would seem totally cool, in reality I feel like he would be a disapproving Uncle. Telling me how wrong it is that I have leather shoes, and eat meat (meat is murder) and how I am too obvious, and that I should be more unknown and not so happy all the time. See? It would just go badly. But! I ADORE his music, and I like watching him live. He isn’t high energy, but he is entertaining. So pull your self up by your boot straps MOZ, and get healthy and get out there and rock! (rock… oh dear)

All the news is a twitter (ugh, they took the joy out of that word) about a certaincompany moving its certain assembly line to a southern state. Er, doh. It is cause and affect. You treat a company like crap, make them loose money, they will do what they need to do to make more money. It’s just the way things work. And that is all I can really say. Because… well YOU know. LOL. Not that I have any insider information, because I don’t. I just know logic. That fickle mistress.

CASTLE’s Halloween episode was EPIC! It was funny, interesting, and damnit it was a fan girl’s happy day! Though I did not find the hidden Firefly Easter Egg that has been on the set (kudos to the fan who did) I was still in a state of utter bliss seeing Nathan in the Mal outfit. And the quippy comments between Castle and Alexis, his daughter. Awesome! I adore the relationship between father and daughter on Castle. He is the father every girl wishes she had. *sniffle* And just a hootenanny of pop culture references. From Buffy, to Underworld, to Dark Horse, just… awesome. I will be watching it again. And soon. And you should too!!

I am 85% done with the sacrifice web update. Yay! This makes me still happy, and a little freaked. Because I am running out of time. AH! I better move my day around and get at least an hour of time to do the work on it. Lots of typing code. Which is always so much fun. Well actually it is. I’ll hush now.

What’s For Dinner?

I am not 100% Sure… I will edit this section later once I figure it out. ;p

Many things in life at weird. And I find more and more around me each day, reminding me that the universe has it’s own plans, and a sense of humor.
When I slipped into the corner drugstore yesterday I heard playing on the sound system not the muzak one expects. No, I heard the low murmuring voice of Morrissey. And a song from his latest album. To me that is crazy weird. Simply because when I was a teenager The Smiths and Morrissey were personal musical respits from the rest of the world. And now they are playing like pop music fodder in grocery stores and the corner Bartell’s. To me, that is almost a sign of the impending Apocalypse. (or maybe I have been reading too much Buffy Fan Fiction as of late)

Twitter Apocolypse!

I am fighting the Twitter Mania. Just like I fought the facebook… wait. I did sign up for facebook. But it is sort of lame, and I ignore it mostly. But still… no twitter! (though I do check out what robot chicken, felicia day, nathan fillion, eliza dushku, amber benson, juliet landau, and joss whedon are twittering… am I a tweet-pocrite. Ack! That or just totally obsessed with the ‘whedonverse’

I am thinking that it is the latter. I do so love me all things Joss created and inspired. I do I do I do.

After six nominations I am totally pulling for kate winslet to win an oscar tonight. I’ve adored kate for years, since I was a wee little fan girl watching Heavenly Creatures. she deserves it. I am going to keep my fingers crossed and watch with bated breathe tonight.

I am loving the new Morrissey Album. If you haven’t heard it, you need to. Go and listen and then buy. Toot Sweet! I personally downloaded it this morning, after hearing M’s copy Friday and Saturday. And I am happy to have it. It will be a nice adition when I get my ipod back. I took it in on Friday and watched it like a sad mother as it was bundled up and sent back to the apple work shop. Hopefully I will get it back sooner than later. Until then I am going to old school it, and listen to my tunes on the computer or on my old mp3 player (have to say that dell got it right with that one. 5 years old and it still works great. In fact it has been turned on and playing the same playlist for over a year. 24 x 7. No shit.)

While I didn’t hit all the Best Picture nominations at the movie theater yesterday (not feeling well enough to spend 13 hours somewhere) I did watch Confessions of a Shopoholic. It was cute. I recomend it for viewing on DVD when it comes out.

And now I need to get back to writing code. It’s a job that keeps growing, but it will be worth it in the end.
