NPH(neil patrick harris) is awesome. Period. He should have hosted the Oscars. I am serious. It would have at least been funny. And everyone knows that a splash of gay makes things more interesting.
Aside from that, here is my Oscar recap: (and yes I am LATE as I did not watch the Oscars until Monday night and do you know how DAMN hard it is to not get spoiled by the internet for a whole 24 hours? HUH. DO YOU?!)

The rest of the Oscars, meh. I was not impressed with the winners, and doubly unimpressed with the hosts (sorry boys) and the whole show had this weird feeling to it. I didn’t even cry during the In memoriam…. I ALWAYS cry during that. But not this year. I think it is more them and less me. So… Let’s hope next year returns the grandeur to the ceremony and the recipients of the award. Did I mention I love Sandra Bullock? I do.

OSCARS  tonight! Woot. Color me excited, though still not sure how I am going to manage the viewing with Puppy School smack in the middle of them. I’ll figure it out. At least I am more fortunate than the folks in NYC who have Cablevision and therefore no ABC right now. Shame on you Cablevision and double shame on you Disney!

Anyhoo. I am in the middle of writing, so can’t go on about something, so I will save my Sunday topic for later in the week. Instead, OSCAR update: I watched two more movies nominated for Best Picture.

Inglorious Basterds - saw it. Not impressed. This is what a nominee for best picture is now adays? It was too long, and a little boring, and well… it did not evoke in me what I would expect from a best picture. Instead it was okay, and I think the actor’s ability to move from english to french to german and back was worth the cost of watching it. Aside from that? Nothing new. Nothing amazing.

The Hurt Locker – okay, I was expecting a lot more from all the hype. While some of the visuals were stunning, the story didn’t go deep enough to make me care about the characters. I don’t think this is due to the subject; I’ve watched many war movies; I just didn’t get their motivation. While it made the me think we need to get the hell out of Iraq, that was about it. And I was already thinking that so, *shrug*

Of the movies I have seen on the list, District 9 still is the best in my uninformed opinion. See, I even said so here, and why.

We’ll see what happens…

I’ve been feeling especially schizophrenic lately. Too many hobbies and weird ass time constraints, has me being oh so neurotic. I have about 5 personal projects I am working on.. but see the thing is, which one is more important? You know? I want to do them all, but there is only so much time in any given day, so I need to focus on one at a time. Okay! I know this is me, so I need to focus on two at a time. *wink* Part of my brain is like, ’screw it’ and just not bother with some of the projects, so I can focus more on those that make me happiest. *insert sigh* so I am not sure what I should be doing… thinking is hard.

The Oscars are this Sunday! Woot! I love me the Oscars, though I feel out of the loop this year, with there being 10 movies nominated for best picture. I mean WHAT? 10!

I may try to catch up on some of these movies tomorrow, but that’s not a for sure thing yet.
What is for sure is that we have Puppy Class Sunday night, so I am not sure how I am going to do the whole watching thing. Maybe set the DVR to record, and then come home and watch… not sure. I know I will get all spoiled by the Internet if I wait to watch it on Monday… so. Harrumph.

I am pretty annoyed right now with TV. For a handful of reasons. Let’s start with Damages Season three. I set my DVR to tape all the episodes… and now, apparently, episodes 1, 2 & 3 are missing! WTF!???!?!?! This has me exceptionally pissed. I am not sure how to rectify the situation, but I am not yet giving up hope. You would think the 3 missing episodes would be online somewhere, but I have yet to find them. Which LAME! Another annoyance is the rumor going around that Legend of the Seeker  may not be renewed. A double dose of WTF!?!?!  This is wrong. So very evilly wrong. I love this show. It has the potential to be on TV for years.  If you haven’t yet, go HERE to get info on where to email, mail, and pester to attempt to keep this awesome show on the air. Pretty please? Or rather, do it or The Mother Confessor will come for you.

Piffle. It is sort of hard for me to get into the angry angsty writing place. Oh poor me, right? That I am happy and content so being an angry person is hard? lol. Maybe this will help.

Aw, so I saw ‘The Wolfman’… it was old skool. And in that veinit was good. What made it better? Yep. Emily Blunt. There was a scene with her hair moving  in the wind and her big blue eyes, and I thought of Kahlan. She is so pretty. *takes a moment* Anyway. Fun little movie, a little silly, but worth the price of a matinee.

Oddly, it was police-a-pooloosaon the roads. Which I found unnerving and odd. Seriously between here and there (which is only a handful of miles, maybe…. 10?) There were four police cars. Each direction. What gives? Maybe it was the karma police, telling me to slow it down. Even though my truck likes to go 70, it’s not the brightest idea when there are all those who would snag me. *dually noted*

I got a call at noon that Theo was out of surgery andlooking around sort of doped up. I am just so SO very happy he is okay and made it through. Chows are notorious for being sensitive to anesthesia. So, a couple more hours and I get to go pick him up. Yay. In the interim… back to writing ANGST for me.

Yeah yeah I know. Me picking up on popular media again. I can’t help it. This fucktard annoyed me, and thus got 3 minutes of my PS time.

Okay so I had the weirdest dream and it totally freaked me out. Let’s first set aside our prejudices because I was dreaming about Cara and Kahlan, and mostly Cara. I dreamt that those bitches over at the TV show made her go evil. Pleasepleaseplease no. I’m a total nerd, and in the books Cara and Kahlan tie for my favorite characters (yeah sorry Richard) on the show I am hands down a Kahlan girl, but… I will be so sad if anything evil-y happens to my Cara. I am almost afraid to watch this Sunday’s Episode. Maybe I will watch between my fingers.

Today is the day I am taking little Mister Theodore to the vet to get his little alteration. I will admit, I am a nervous nelly about the whole thing. *looks at him passed out* He is trying to be a good little guy. Hopefully this will help. And yeah. All I, Queen of Worried Town, will say no more on that until after he is home.

So with him being out of commission and out from under my feet, MOVIE TIME! SaWeEt! any guesses to what I am going to go see today? C’mon? Any takers? Right-O! I’m going to try and see ‘the Wolfman’ even though it looks like it will scare the crap out of me, it is too rad looking to pass up. Hopefully it won’t be sold out. I’ll report back later, or tomorrow, depending.

It’s going to be a busy day, even with me being off of work, but that’s cool. *nods*

What’s For Dinner?

Not sure at this point. Last night I cooked up a mini beef roast, and it was a FAIL. I in my health nut frame of mind (yes someone that lives on coffee and cigarettes can have healthy thoughts) bought a tiny little roast that had like no fat on it. No fat on a roast equals bland. It was. Came out tender and perfectly medium rare, but it tasted like nothing. *wwwaaaaa, waa, wwwwwaaaaaa, waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa* Total bummer. So tonight may just be left overs, while my chef ego rebuilds itself. *smirk*
