Wow, over a week since I posted last! Wowzers indeed. Things have been uber busy, as they always are this time of year. From last minute work requests, to attempting to get into the local Target for some much needed shopping, to going to classes, and to attempting to keep a clean house. Shew. I need a vacation or something. But as I know all to well, vacations generally mean you need another vacation from your vacation. It is a slippery slope.

Luckily it is warmer now, not in the teens as it was all last week. It is a balmy 41 degrees right now, which hello, awesome! On Sunday we got the first snow of the season, and while it didn’t stick at all here, it was nice to see, and added to the festive air. I am all about Christmas as of late. All Christmas music all the time. The lights on the (artificial) tree, and planning on baking up a storm in the next day or so. Yay! There is something wonderful, magically about this time of year. Even when people are all bah humbug as they drive like insane people and grumble in the long lines at the stores. I still bounce along, happy as a clam. Or a yam. Something like that.

I am SO very behind in some of my Internet duties! Egads! With luck I will get some of it done on my lunch break today.

In TV news. Did you see the adorable ‘Prep and Landing’ ‘Yes, Virginia’ out there too if you missed it. I can’t find it right now, but look for it and see it. I love Christmas specials that have the true meaning of the holidays all bundled up in an entertaining way. Kudos to the networks for getting it right this year.

Did you watch Zooey on Bones last week? You should have. She was so dry, dead panned, and I think hilarious in her portrayal of the cousin. Good TV. Cam was amazing! I was crying like a little baby the whole time. Where she was all about the Holidays for her adoptive(ish) daughter and then the daughter wanted to leave for Christmas with Friends, and Cam was all ‘Okay’ and all sad about it, and then THEN she was all ‘No! You can’t go. There is no Christmas without you.”  Sobs! So good. I sometimes love that show.

And even better TV? Dollhouse! While the first hour was meh (had Corporate Editing written all over it) The second hour with Alpha was A-Typical Joss goodness! Oh it was delightful. While I need to watch it again, because there were about 50 interruptions when I was watching, I twas good. Yay! And the next episodes look even cooler. Score!

What’s For Dinner?

Braised Chicken, with mashed potatoes and gravy. I LOVE LOVE LOVE winter time, and being able to cook in the oven again.

I just can’t quit you cold turkey. I admit, I am looking forward to seeing Zooey on Bones. Because I love Zooey, and I love Bones. I do not love FOX though. So, it is one of those love hates. I am wondering if Bones has jumped the shark, I know I know, I shouldn’t even say that. But it is true. I am wondering it. As much as I love Emily and David, I pretty much watch to see CAM (due to the aforementioned crush on Cam) So, I don’t know. Don’t get me wrong, I will always watch, and will purchase the DVDs when they are out. I just… perhaps my unlove for FOX is spreading out and tainting things.

THOUGH! Dollhousereturns tomorrow night biotches, for a two hour (actually two separate episodes that they are slapping together) and I am happy about that too. Summer will be on, apparently torturing Echo, which would make a certain segment of the fan base happy I suppose. I am just looking forward to seeing and discovering more of the canon and lore of the Doll-verse and all the moral compass shifting that entails. All though it signals the near end, at least the F*tards at FOX are letting us have the remainder of the Dollhouse Season. So that is nice of them (grumble) and here’s a video with sneak peaks, and Eliza, and we all love Eliza.

 
And speaking of TV… did you hear about this? SyFy is showing ‘Alice’ a some kind of other take on the Alice in Wonderland fable. Interesting. I will be DVRing it and giving it a whirl. I do love me some Syfy (or I did when it was SciFi, but what ever)

And sort of like TV only not; Did you catch up on this season of The Guild? It was completely awesome. Hilarious to the nth power. And I HOPE HOPE HOPE they get picked up for another season. Because seriously. talk about cliff hanger of an ending. Sheeeeez. Love the Guild. Thank you Felicia for being awesome.

There are some things relating to modern technology (really?) that are pretty damn awesome. Like the fact that I was to ‘time travel’ and listen to back issue pod (can we call them something else if they aren’t part of the apple wana-monopoly?) casts via ZUNE of TBTL. (local evening radio program here) It really helps the day of data processing to go by fast as heck. Or faster than it normally would.  Now if they could come up with a way for me to do these data processing things with my mind, so my arms and hands don’t start to hurt so much. Bah!

Little entertainment news blurb. Could it be? The D sisters have been stars of the blog as of late, and now they are having entertainment writters all a twitter – which means multiple things in this day and age. Check out the article. Ooh. I am with everyone else on this one. this should be a done deal. Especially because I love Bones but i have this weird feeling that it will be leaving. Call me a naysayer, I just have that feeling in my guts. And don’t get me wrong, I am a HUGE BONES fan.  Enough of that speculation of cancellation, check out the picture! Zooey and Emily. A nice Monday Night Dinner is planned. Cornish Game Hens, roasted rosemary potatoes, oven baked fried zucchini.

Yes, I know, This is a image heavy post. Not that there isn’t a billion things to talk about. But rather, I just have to put my foot down. (and yes I know it won’t matter all that much, but still I am putting it down!)

So as I was skimming Felicia Day’s Twitter (I am still against Twitter, and friends don’t let friends twitter!!!! BUT, I do enjoy looking at the celebrities tweets.) And I read that there is talk about the next Batman, and who they have slated to play Selina Kyle, aka The Catwoman… Megan Fox… OMG! ARE THEY SERIOUS? A card board cut out who is bland and who is not attractive at all. I am serious when I say that this woman person looks like a tranny who went a little to crazy with the silicone injection in her lips. You know I am right on this! The picture of the NOT Hot Megan Fox is the only decent one I could find. Because I don’t want an ugly tranny on my blog. ((and point of fact, before you get all annoying and angry at my use of the word ‘tranny’ I know many a tranny, and thus I am given the magic card to use that moniker as I see fit. Just like I can say fag, dyke, dingo, mic. Okay? So get over it.)) This girl should be no where near the set of Batman. They finally got a good franchise going, with amazing actors who are bringing the comics to life… and then they muck it up by saying that Megan Fox will be Catwoman? Maybe Poison Ivy… but CATWOMAN!!!

No No NNNNOOOO.

I say, you want someone attractive, HOT, and a talented actress to be Selina Kyle? Why not:

Charlize Theron? Looks great with blond hair or dark hair. And we KNOW she can act!!

Zooey Deschanel, fits the physical ideology of Catwoman, and image that, she can act!

Summer Glau. I know right? Did you see that one coming? Probably not. But isn’t it a good fit? Think about it. Complex and kick ass. Think about it!

Emily Deschanel, while I think she is a little flat, but she TOTALLY fits the bill. Did you SEE her in the Halloween episode of Bones where she was WonderWoman? …. ooooo WonderWoman.

I am staying on point. I get that physically a female with Dark Hair and Light Eyes is Selina Kyle. But more so it is (I admit) physical attributes that I am most attracted to. But that does not mean that I want a rich and diverse character such as Selina Kyle to be played by someone who does nothing but wears hot pants, bends over, runs without a bra on and makes that stupid face. That ‘duh I’m a girl, I don’t know how to do anything’  I call BULLSHIT on this casting choice.

I will be seeing the next Batman movie though… It is BATMAN after all. And If I watched Batman & Robin, I can watch anything. Doesn’t mean I am going to like it.

I have this overwhelming urge to get back to my roots. Okay, that may be a little vague and miss leading. It’s not the roots, but the first leaves. AKA, the 80’s and 90’s. Perhaps it is because we lost John Hughes this week, and all the news blurbs are reminding of those movies and songs that were the back drop of my formative years, that I want to walk down those roads again. Listening to the tunes, watching the movies (but I draw the line at the hair cuts, and clothing styles! I will never own aqua blue jeans again, nor will I wear reebok high tops with the Velcro top!).

I finished watching Weeds, Season 2 last night, and that show is pretty funny, though sort of fucked up if you look at it literally, and Silas needs a kick in the head. But OOOH! Zooey! I should have known she was in it, but blanked on it, so it was a nice little surprise. She is such a good actress playing the quirky (crazy) characters, and I believe her in them. (not like Winona Ryder who is ALWAYS Winona Ryder. Every damn movie! WTF) Zooey’s character on WEEDS makes me lament that my crazy-assed ex wasn’t this hot. Which is a bummer. I had my one crazy assed ex (ok there were many contenders too) and she should have been / could have been uber hot. So now I will just hope for the adorable, quirky girl to come into my life. Though I would have to leave the cave for that to happen, so, I will keep you updated on that. *wink*

And speaking of WTF and girls, Kourtney Kardashian is pregnant!! MAN! While babies are awesome most of the time, I think her on again off again bf Scott is a fraking tool. So it is a bummer there. But congrats nonetheless. While I always thought Kourtney was a cutie, Khloe will always be my favorite. Which makes little to no sense to me. I want to like petite girls with blue eyes, but sometimes those Amazon warriors are just damn fine. Frak all the haters, Khole is yummy eye candy – and you tell her I approve! So there.

Time to get to the local home improvement stores to get Painting Supplies. Now if we could only figure out a color (yeah, whatever, details) things would go smoother!! LOL. So painting things, then lots of prep work, before this social misfit heads into Seattle to see her favorite crush musician performing! Come buy me a root beer at the High Dive and watch Bee,  later biotches!
